Our story

Sandra Rossi Madormo and Rafaele Madormo have been professional and life partners for over 30 years. They founded and ran the Via Esporte academy for 25 years and have long nurtured a shared dream: to help develop children's swimming in Brazil. At a certain point, they decided to put it into practice; thus, the Brazilian Children's Swimming Congress and INATI were born. Learn more about how this happened in their own words.

“After dreaming for a long time, we decided to face our fears and organize the first congress in 2008, even against the wishes of many who did not believe in our initiative. After the event, with the success of the attendance and positive feedback from the participants, we reinforced our desire to do more. The second edition came in 2010, and with new success, which showed us that it was time to implement the second phase of the project. And so, in the third edition, in 2011, we launched INATI and, at the same time, ABPNI (Brazilian Academy of Children's Swimming), two initiatives that complement the congress. INATI is the instrument that will enable us to consolidate all the initiatives we have and will have to help develop Brazilian children's swimming.”
